JPS nightmare

THE EDITOR, Madam:

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) is one of the most inefficient private sector companies in Jamaica, and their tardiness inflicts burdensome pain on us helpless customers.

I have a low voltage at my house from last week, and despite reporting it on Saturday, June 18 and getting their useless case reference number, the problem has not been addressed.

Numerous calls to their “customer care” centre over the past three days are met with the usual “courtesies”, and a promise to respond “within six hours”.

It is now day four and despite numerous calls, I am still at their inefficient mercy.
