All about the red
Going red for a cause has never looked better. From red carpet, to red dresses and red ties. Campionites and their fashionable associates, came out in their fashionable numbers to partake in the highly anticipated annual fundraiser- Campion College Hall of Fame Dinner.
Many who used the cocktail hour as an opportunity to get acquainted and reacquainted, were already in high spirits. By the start time all were comfortably seated in the grand ballroom of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel looking forward to the evening’s formal proceedings.
While Campion College’s band showcased their incredible talent, guests enjoyed a delicious three course meal accompanied by scintillating conversation. They even had a silent auction going on at the back of the ballroom for those interested on purchasing art or seeking a getaway. With dining complete, all speeches led to honouring the newly inducted members of the Campion Hall of Fame — Dr Damien King and Joseph Matalon.
Their citations and video testimonials about their achievements, were nothing short of inspiring. And when the two prominent Jamaicans finally took to the stage, they expressed sincere gratitude in receiving such a significant honour from their alma mater.
The night’s function not only paid tribute to these two outstanding men, it will pay for four current Campion students who are excelling academically, but lack the financial support to continue their academic pursuits. The annual event makes this possible in the form of scholarships, so kudos to Campion College Alumni Association on a job well done.
