Young girls between the ages of three and 14, finally have access to a spa that caters to their every need. Lavish Luxury Kids Spa, opened its doors last weekend, and according to owner Tashawna Martin, the timing was right.

"I came up with this concept about two years ago and I felt it was the right time to bring this experience to Jamaica for little girls to enjoy", said Martin.

Martin has four females employed, who are in all areas of spa and hair treatment. She believes that the child-friendly environment will be the pull factor.

“I think that here in Jamaica, it’s hard to find a location for little girls to be pampered, where you don’t have to work around the appropriateness of the conversations and overall atmosphere of the salon. I provide a child-friendly space that is entirely for them,” said Martin.

Lavish Luxury Kids Spa, is located at 22 Kensington Crescent in New Kingston, and opens Sundays to Saturdays.

According to the former Corporate executive, there are plans to incorporate boys into the programme.

"The feedback from customers has been overwhelming. Very positive. We might incorporate boys later on", said Martin.

Businessman and event promoter Cadeem Mullings, who took his daughter Mia Alexis to enjoy the experience, was pleased with the offerings.

"It is a great experience. I am here with my daughter and I have to tell you, we are overwhelmed with the products and the staff. This is really a good experience for kids", he said.

He continued, "I found out about the business through social media and we decided to come check it out. Surprisingly, she (Mullings' daughter) has reacted very well, because she has been choosing the colour nail polish that she wants. Overall, I think it comes back to how good the staff interacts with kids".
