It was ‘Dinner and a Movie Under the Stars’ last Saturday at Claire Pointe in Boscobel, the former residence of renowned artist Colin Garland. In keeping with Garland’s legacy, AIR At Claire Pointe has founded an artist in residence programme, and for its initial staging invited Kentucky-born, Cali Columbia-based artist, Spencer Reinhard, to lead the ‘Birds of Columbia’ workshop which benefited students from Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts.

The film ‘American Animals’ is an acclaimed cinematic account of a younger Reinhard, and his plot with friends to steal one of the rarest US art history titles – ‘Birds of America’. Guests got their art fix in Reinhard’s pieces, socialised, dined, and with the Caribbean Sea as their backdrop, watched the movie under a dazzling full moon.
