After an intense 17 weeks of transformation, 24 small and medium-sized business leaders who participated in the 2022 Scotiabank Vision Achiever programme graduated on Tuesday at the AC Hotel Kingston. The weeks-long programme culminated with three businesses, Jesse’s Gifts & Décor, a personalised gift and home décor company; Homemaid Jamaica Ltd, a company that connects clients to reliable housekeepers, caregivers and nannies; and Somers Furnishing, a St Ann-based bespoke wooden furniture manufacturer, emerging winners of the annual SME development programme to share a prize total of $5 million. Twinned with a mini expo, the closing ceremony featured all 24 participants and gave them an opportunity to network and forge partnerships to push their companies even further. Something Extra brings the highlights.
