As Jamaica joins several other countries in marking World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) today, two young entrepreneurs, Rafer Johnson and Adrian Adlam, are applauding Start Up Jamaica (SUJ) for helping them into the world of technology.

SUJ is a business accelerator designed for software and app developers to gain the requisite business skills in order to maximise the innovations they create. It also provides key linkages and networking opportunities for these budding entrepreneurs.

For Johnson, SUJ, which is a joint initiative involving the Ministry of Technology, the World Bank, and a few private-sector organisations including LIME Jamaica, has been a godsend.
