Farmer's sick, $95,000, cow stolen.

The Clarendon police are now searching for a man after a farmer in Halsey Hall this morning saw his 64th cow being stolen since December last year.

The owner of the animal, cattle farmer Kenneth Donaldson, says it had been sick since yesterday.

He says when he went in search of it this morning he realised it was missing.

A man was later discovered in a yard preparing the animal for sale, but he ran when an alarm was raised.

Donaldson was called to the scene where he positively identified the animal.

The slaughtered animal is valued at $95,000.

Donaldson says this is the 64th animal he is losing since December last year, but he is not discouraged.
