Two shot in Clarendon robbery
Two members of a Clarendon family remain hospitalised and others are traumatised following a robbery and shooting early this morning.
One of the robbery victims says about 1 o’clock this morning two men armed with guns and wearing masks entered their house in the Folly community in Swansea, Clarendon and demanded money.
She says when the demands were not met they began ransacking the house and stole valuable items such as tablets, cell phones and an engagement ring.
The woman further says the robbers then went to the other side of the house and fired several shots through a door, hitting the two persons.
According to her, the men said they had direct orders to come to that house for money.
She says at the time of the break-in the family was making final preparations for her grandmother's funeral, this weekend.
The woman says the entire family, especially children, is traumatised as a result of the incident.
