Clarendon motorist killed in highway crash

Basil Myles, a motorist from Bushy Park, Clarendon, this morning died from injuries he received in a motor vehicle crash along the Bustamante Highway in Clarendon.

It's reported that about 7:45 a.m., the motorist who was driving his Honda motor car towards May Pen was overtaking a line of traffic when he collided with a Nissan Bluebird.

Myles, who was unconscious, was pulled from his mangled car.

He was later pronounced dead.

Four occupants including a baby who were in the Nissan were treated at hospital and released.

The Bustamante Highway has been labelled as a crash hot spot by the National Road Safety Council.
