No mention of tax break in Throne Speech

It appears Jamaicans will have to wait until the Estimates of Expenditure is tabled this afternoon to hear more about the government's plans to implement its $1.5 million tax break plan.
It was widely expected that Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, would restate the government’s intention to implement the plan this morning in his Throne Speech at the ceremonial opening of Parliament.
There was no mention of the plan in Sir Patrick's Throne Speech, which outlines the government’s plans and programmes for the parliamentary year.
Instead, Sir Patrick urged parliamentarians to ensure that the promises that have been made to Jamaicans are kept.
According to Sir Patrick, there is an urgent need to build trust in Jamaica.
The Governor General says all parliamentarians must conduct themselves inside and outside of Gordon House in a way which commands the respect of all.
