Curfew imposed in Mount Salem and Flanker, St James

A curfew has been imposed in sections of St James. The curfew began at 6 p.m. on Friday and will remain in effect until 6 p.m., Sunday. The boundaries of the curfew are as follows:

Mount Salem:

NORTH:   Along the Mount Salem main road from Peddlers Lane to Clarke Street;

SOUTH: Along Back Road onto Jarrett Terrace to Peddlers Lane;

EAST:  Along Clarke Street onto Catherine Mews to Back Road;

WEST:   Along Peddlers Lane to Mount Salem Main Road.

Flanker:

NORTH: Along Flanker main road, from the stoplight at Burke Road to the stoplight at Providence

SOUTH: Along Back Road from Providence main toad to New Road

EAST: Along Providence main road from the stop light to Back Road

WEST: Along New Road onto McKenzie Drive to Flanker main road
 

During the hours of the curfew, all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfews.
