Carib Theatre

The Gleaner of April 14, 1938 reported on the opening of The Carib Theatre. "Rarely, if ever, have Kingston and St Andrew film-fans seen such a day," said the report. The Carib Theatre, which would become Carib 5, was the first of its kind in the island and continues to be a local hotspot for first dates, church outings, family nights and friendly 'link-ups'. Carib is an iconic Jamaican company with firm roots in local history.
