A third taxi operator has been shot dead in the Corporate Area in just over a week.

It is reported that 40-year-old Kerron Morner was about to drive from his home 55 Abberville Avenue in Patrick City when he was approached by a gunman who fired several shots hitting him multiple times.

Morner died on the spot.

The taxi driver, alias 'Cansie', operated on the Duhaney Park to Half-Way Tree route.

Last week Tuesday, 63-year-old Michael Swaby was shot dead in Three Oaks, St Andrew, reportedly by a man who was posing as a passenger.

Two days later, another taxi operator was murdered along Dunrobin Avenue by two passengers and pushed from his vehicle onto the road.
