JPS transformer stolen, some Portmore, St Catherine communities without water

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that thieves have stolen a Jamaica Public Service (JPS) transformer which connects to its Goshen Pen Relift, Government Park #2, Half Way Tree and Cookson Pumping Stations, resulting in disruptions to customers.

The area affected are:

*Greater Portmore

*Naggo Head

*Old Braeton

*Congreve Park

*Silverstone

*Portmore Pines

*Monza

*Daytona

*Ascott

*West Cumberland
 
The NWC says it is working with JPS to have the problems corrected in the shortest possible time.
