The North-East Regional Health Authority is reporting that all products labelled “Portland’s Best” and “Bottled in Long Bay Portland” are now certified for human consumption.

The authority issued a health advisory notice in January warning the public to avoid purchasing and consuming these products.

It says the Portland Health Department, after carrying out a series of inspections and sample testing, found that the public health requirements and compliance regulations were met by the proprietor.

As a result, the health authority says the products have therefore met the required public health standards and are now deemed as safe for human consumption.

The bottling facility is also now health certified by the Portland Health Department.
