The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) says the Stony Hill Health Centre in St Andrew has been temporarily closed to facilitate a major expansion and renovation project.

SERHA says services have been relocated to the Golden Spring Health Centre in the parish.

The authority says measures have been put in place to address the possible increase in patient load, inclusive of the reassignment of the staff from Stony Hill to the Golden Spring Health Centre.

The opening hours at Golden Spring have also been extended to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.

SERHA points out that the Golden Spring Health Centre was reconstructed and upgrade in 2015 through funding Jamaica Social Investment Fund at a cost of a little over $38 million.

The services currently offered at the Golden Spring Health Centre are:

* Curative

* Maternal and Child Health

* Community Mental Health

* Nutrition

* Phlebotomy

* Pharmacy
