One of St James’ most wanted men, Donrick ‘Taliban’ Campbell, and another man were fatally shot in an alleged confrontation with the police in Irwin in the parish this morning.

The other man has been identified as Owen Jenkins.

Campbell was being sought by the police in connection with several murders and shootings.

“This taliban has been giving us a warm time for quite a long time,” said a police officer on hearing the news of Campbell’s death.

“A lot of us will sleep more comfortable tonight,” the cop added.

It is reported that a police team was on patrol in the community when they accosted Campbell and Jenkins.

A shootout reportedly ensued and both men were shot and killed.

The police say two firearms were seized.

The killings bring to 10 the number of persons fatally shot in alleged confrontations with the police in St James since the start of this year.
