Applications are now open for the 2019 GraceKennedy Jamaican Birthright Programme.

The month-long cultural immersion programme allows university students of Jamaican parentage from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States of America to participate in a month-long all-expenses paid internship in Jamaica. During the internship, the students will be learning about the land of their parents' or grandparents' birth, while working at a GraceKennedy subsidiary linked to their career interests.

Four persons - two from the United States of America, one from the United Kingdom and one from Canada - will be chosen to participate in the 2019 Jamaican Birthright Programme, set to run from July 1 through to August 7, 2019.

To be eligible, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years, second- or third-generation Jamaican pursuing either an undergraduate or postgraduate degree and have a Grade 'B' average or higher. They must have a desire to learn more about their Jamaican heritage.

Persons who have lived in Jamaica for more than six months or more would not be eligible to participate. Students are required to submit their applications no later than November 30, 2018.

Application forms are available at www.gracekennedy.com/birthright. For further information, interested persons can either send queries via email to gkfoun-dation@gkco.com or call 1-876 932-3541.
