Five cops arrested for extortion and corruption

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) has confirmed the arrest of five members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force for extortion and breaches of the Corruption Prevention Act.

All five were picked-up while on duty in the Kingston Western Police Division, and are awaiting an identification parade, a MOCA liaison officer told The Gleaner this morning.

The arrests were made late yesterday evening.

The names of the arrested cops are being withheld pending further investigation.
