Teen boy killed in Westmoreland

The Grange Hill Police in Westmoreland are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in the parish.

He has been identified as Shamar Tomlinson otherwise called ‘ JT’, a student of Crowder district in Grange Hill.

The police say residents reported hearing loud explosion about 2:40 Monday morning and summoned them.

The police say a premises was searched and Tomlinson was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

Meanwhile, 32-year-old Renaldo Reid otherwise called ‘Boom’, a farmer of Coolie Town, Forth Williams in Westmoreland was shot and killed at his home on Monday morning.

The Whithorn Police reports that about 2:30 a.m. Reid was at his premises when the door was kicked in by armed men.

It is alleged that the men robbed him and then shot him multiple times.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
