She is a phenomenal woman with an insatiable passion for personal and professional excellence. While wearing many hats, Kedesha Dallas Goode continues to promote intentional positive energy to empower and encourage persons to be deliberate about pursuing their God-given purpose.

"I promote intentional positive energy so that the negative elements of life will not permeate our persona and cripple our growth," Dallas Goode said.

A foreign language educator of Spanish and French, Dallas Goode is passionate about children and the opportunities they have given her to learn new things. Such is her passion that on Saturdays, she often reads for the children at Bookophilia book store and has written children stories.

"I gravitate towards children, and I extend myself to be innovative, creative and differentiate in my mood of delivery," Dallas Goode said.

"While in the classroom, I will just make up a story that is interesting and that children can learn from and be inspired. They learn Spanish words and they are able to relate them to colours and other aspects of life," she added.

With an effervescent personality, Dallas Goode considers herself as a mixture of the elements, having grown up with both parents with distinct personalities. "My mother was the catalyst for my success and the woman that I am today. She taught me to be independent and not to rely on any one person for anything," Dallas Goode said.

"My father taught me not to be fearful of people, because I somewhat feared him. He taught me to face the bull by the horn and stand up for myself," she added.

Wherewithal spirit

Of her mother, she reiterated that she received her wherewithal spirit from her, indicating that her mother tried her hands at everything to make sure her family was taken care of. "She exemplified an octopus, and taught me that you can do everything once you put God before you. I caught on to that fever and caught the cold, and, since then, it cannot go away. It was a transition, her example snowballed into who I am today," she said.

With a master's of business administration in sustainable tourism management, Dallas Goode has studied in Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Spain and France. "I love travelling and it had done a lot for me. My horizons have been broadened, and my lifestyle isn't so much about myself anymore. I have become more emotionally fulfilled and I have learnt to be socially competent," she said.

Life for her hasn't always been peaches and cream, but she has learnt to appreciate the bumps and bruises and make the most of her blessings. "I love new adventure and I like to learn. Being self-motivated isn't easy, but I have learnt to empower myself and to continue learning, growing and building my brand," Dallas Goode said.

Dallas Goode is promoting her book, Sorrow, Soothers, Mind Pleasers and Victory Verses, which gives snippets of her life while growing up and includes poems and motivational passages for everyone.
