Alleged St James lottery scammers charged
Members of the Lottery Scam Task Force carried out special operations in Norwood, St James which resulted in the arrest and charge of two men for breaches of the so-called lottery scamming act on Tuesday.
Charged with possession of identity information are 27-year-old Sheldon Colquhoun, otherwise called ‘Shoppy’, of Blood Lane, and 26-year-old electrician Nasville Prince Reynolds, otherwise called ‘Jassy’, of Hendon Norwood, both in the parish.
A court date is to be set.
The police report that between 11:50 a.m. and 1:55 p.m. a team carried out a search of two premises.
During a search of Colquhoun’s premises numerous Microsoft, PDF and Excel files were seen populated with names, addresses, and telephone numbers of persons living overseas.
During a search of Reynolds' premises, a white I-Phone 6S was found.
It was analysed and found to contain evidence of probative value.
They were both arrested.
