Social worker accused of having sex with minor granted $1 million bail

The accused is booked to reappear in court on November 18. 

The St Mary social worker who is charged with having sex with a minor was on Wednesday granted $1 million bail when he appeared in the Port Maria Parish Court.

As part of his bail, a stop order has been placed on the accused, Lincoln Dennis, who is of a Moneague, St Ann address.

In addition, Dennis, who is employed to the Ministry of Justice's Victim Support Unit in Port Maria, will have to surrender his travel documents. 

Dennis, who is also charged with misconduct in a public office, is booked to reappear in court on November 18. 

It is reported that an incident involving a minor allegedly took place in March of this year and Dennis was charged following an investigation.

He was remanded when he initially appeared in court on October 21.
