Residents of St Thomas were recently treated to an education in putting out forest fires during a Forest Fire Management Training held by the Forestry Department in collaboration with the Jamaica Fire Brigade in Hillside in the parish. Annually, the agency trains forest-adjacent communities in forest fire prevention and suppression as one of the strategies to reduce forest fires.
