CMI celebrates 33rd Annual Graduation with regional head
Graduation 2014 was a
special occasion for the Caribbean Maritime Institute (CMI) as it celebrated its 33rd annual staging of the event with regional partners and friends of the industry. The celebrations spanned two days, beginning with a welcome ceremony for the guest speaker, Gaston Browne, prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda, on Wednesday, November 12, and the graduation exercise on Thursday, November 13.
On Wednesday, students of the CMI benefited from the generous donation from industry partners of the institute, The Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA). The Monica Silvera Scholarship Foundation, established by the CSA, provides U$20,000 annually to needy but deserving students.
