The Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) has extended its gratitude to everyone who registered or provided sponsorship in support of its recent Shipping Industry 5K Road Race. The event, held on June 27, was a hit among seasoned and novice runners and walkers who participated.

"Many expert participants shared that they had attained their fastest times for the season on the previously untested course," said a member of the SAJ 5K planning committee.

The organisers noted that the event could not have been a success without the enthusiastic support of its sponsors who committed their cash and/or their services or products in support of the charity run.

Sponsors for the event were The RJR Communications Group, Wisynco (Wata and Powerade), JP Tropical Foods, JMMB Insurance, PROVEN Wealth, Power 106/Music 99FM, Transocean Shipping, Lannaman & Morris Shipping, Advantum, Assessment Recoveries Limited, Allied Insurance Brokers, Rituals Coffee House and Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica.
