Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ) managing committee member Harriat ‘Harry’ Maragh has been appointed to the board of directors of Express Catering Ltd (ECL), effective February 25. Maragh is the chairman and chief executive officer of Lannaman & Morris (Shipping) Ltd and Metro Investments. He sits on the boards of Margaritaville (Turks) Ltd, Kingston Wharves Ltd, Advantum, and is also chairman of Main Event Entertainment and the Kingston Port Workers Superannuation Fund. Maragh is a key supporter of ECL and his appointment is seen as adding significant value to the organisation and being in line with their strategic growth plan. ECL is a Jamaican food and beverage company formed in 2001 to operate at Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay. It is a subsidiary of Margaritaville Caribbean Group, owners and operators of the Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville franchise throughout the Caribbean. The company, which was listed on the junior market of the Jamaica Stock Exchanges in July 2017, operates all the food and beverage offerings, post-security, at Sangster International Airport. The operation encapsulates 28 outlets, including brands such as Starbucks, Cinnabon, Wendy’s, Domino’s, and Air Margaritaville.
