Shipping Association of Jamaica member company Jamaica Freight and Shipping recently shared the details of a service provided by shipping line COSCO. The vessel MV Watermark St George makes weekly stops at the port of Kingston on a leg of its dedicated direct Eastern Caribbean service. The 1174 TEU capacity vessel leaves Jamaica for the Dominican Republic. From there it goes to Trinidad, then on to South America, stopping in Guyana, and Suriname before returning to Jamaica. This is an excellent opportunity for exporters to reach their Caribbean and South American customers. Headquartered in Shanghai, COSCO Shipping Lines is the fourth-largest shipping line in the world. Its agents in Jamaica are Jamaica Freight and Shipping.
