PAJ pays tribute to Robert Kinlocke

Robert Kinlocke’s service to the port and shipping industry of Jamaica spanned half a century and played a significant role in the development of the private and public sectors of the industry.

His career in shipping began with one of the lowest entry-level positions, and he rose through the ranks to eventually become the managing director of one of the region’s largest terminal operating companies, Kingston Wharves Limited. On his way up the ladder, Mr Kinlocke pursued and gained knowledge and expertise in a wide range of critical aspects of the business.

In due time, he transitioned into entrepreneurial endeavours by establishing his own companies, Gateway International Shipping Limited and RK Logistics, which he developed into very successful commercial entities.

Through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to the building of Jamaica’s port and shipping industry, Robert Kinlocke has left an indelible mark on the nation’s record of development and progress. He has played a very important role and his contribution will be long remembered.
