The board of SAJE Property Services Limited has announced the appointment of Dr Robert Kinlocke Jr as its chairman and Rachel Harrisingh to the post of property manager. SAJE Property Services Limited is a real estate subsidiary of SAJE Logistics Infrastructure Limited, a property and investment company with roots in the shipping and logistics industry. Kim Clarke is chairman of the SAJE Group of Companies and Trevor Riley is Group CEO.

With roots in Newport West, SAJE Property Services Limited (SPSL) is one of Jamaica’s youngest and fast-growing, real estate and property management companies.

DR ROBERT KINLOCKE JR, CHAIRMAN

A lecturer in the Department of Geography and Geology at The University of the West Indies, Dr Kinlocke has considerable experience in urban planning and development, as well as certification from the Real Estate Board of Jamaica. He is also a director of SAJE Logistics Infrastructure Limited, PSC Limited, International Shipping Ltd and RK Logistics Limited.

VISION-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP

With regard to the role of SPSL in Jamaica’s business landscape, Dr Kinlocke stated: “Our mission is to be the finest full-service real estate and property management company, from Negril Point to Morant Point, by recruiting and employing expert professionals who are ethically sound and well trained; to provide customers with the highest level of service by continually being innovative and adapting to new technology; and to make the selling and buying of real estate easier, faster and more efficient.”

ACHIEVEMENTS

Dr Kinlocke has an impressive record of achievements, including the Principal’s Research Award for ‘Research project with the Greatest Business/Economic Development Impact’ (University of the West Indies, 2021); Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholar (Universities Canada and the Rideau Hall Foundation, 2018), and the Principal’s Research Award for ‘Best Research Publication’ in the Faculty of Science and Technology (University of the West Indies, 2016). He is a recipient of the Department of Graduate Studies Award as well as the Faculty of Science and Technology Award for obtaining his PhD ‘with high commendation’ (University of the West Indies, 2017). He is the immediate past president of the Jamaican Geographical Society.

Kinlocke credits his journey to the support and encouragement of his late father, Robert Kinlocke, who was a stalwart in the shipping industry.

RACHEL HARRISINGH, PROPERTY MANAGER

Possessing years of experience in property and construction management, Rachel Harrisingh has a Master of Science degree in the built environment and a Bachelor of Arts degree in architectural studies, both from the University of Technology, Jamaica.

A certified project management professional (IPMA qualification), Harrisingh held various managerial positions, including that of property/strata manager in her previous employment with Guardian Life Limited (GLL). She was also the construction manager for a number of major GLL projects. She brings to her post of property manager a wealth of experience in construction planning and building regulations as inspector, construction contracts, with the Office of the Contractor General and, earlier in her career, as a building officer with the Portmore Municipal Council.

Harrisingh wants to “build the SPSL brand on customer experience, integrity and class – quality service at every level, every stage”. She sees the company as one with an unsurpassed reputation for both real estate and property management, “a one-stop shop that our clients will recommend without hesitation due to our exceptional work ethic and performance”.

Like her new chairman, the project manager is confident that “at SPSL, we have a dedicated and hard-working team making this happen; serving our clients and protecting their investments will enable us to achieve and surpass our goals”.
