R.S. Gamble partners with logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel in its regional expansion

Jamaicans will see their options for shipping connectivity increase following a recent partnership between R.S. Gamble and global operating logistics provider Kuehne+Nagel.

Under the agreement, R.S. Gamble will act as Kuehne+Nagel’s independent non-exclusive agent in Jamaica, allowing its customers to connect their businesses with 1,300 other Kuehne+Nagel locations worldwide.

R.S. Gamble was created in 1998 and is a leading shipping provider in Jamaica, offering ground transportation and freight services from two offices in Kingston and another in Montego Bay. It also operates as ship agents and marine insurance claim-settling agents representing many companies in the international assurance arena.

Additionally, the company is Lloyd’s agent in Jamaica, with other principals including the International Underwriters Association of London, W.K. Webster and the United States Salvage Association, Swedish Club, plus a range of other European and Far Eastern insurance companies.

Kuehne+Nagel also announced a similar partnership with Laparkan Trading Company Limited in Guyana, further expanding its operations. which includes 21 countries in South and Central America.

Laparkan has almost four decades’ experience in providing ground-handling services to a range of overseas cargo operations. Guyana is considered one of the fastest-growing economies globally and an emerging energy market expected to grow further in 2022.

Known as a leader in sea logistics, Kuehne+Nagel also has strong standing in air logistics, allowing its customers to access innovative and easily customisable logistics services, it shared in a release.

Regarding the announcements, managing director, Central America and Caribbean cluster at Kuehne+Nagel, Jan Trittin, said: “These new partnerships represent a major step for the company in South and Central America, strengthening its presence and enhancing business networks and connecting people and goods. Kuehne+Nagel’s comprehensive service offering in the Caribbean region includes sea logistics full container load and less-than-container load, air logistics services, customs brokerage, delivery, warehousing, special transportation requirements for the energy sector, as well as healthcare, temperature-controlled goods, and oversize cargo.
