An overview was also given of the UKHO survey support and training being provided to the Jamaican maritime community in March, to assist with the use of multi-beam survey equipment provided by UKHO under the Commonwealth Marine Economies Programme. The meeting also included discussions on recent and planned hydrographic maritime activities in Jamaica’s waters, which will be used to update ADMIRALTY navigation charts and publications of Jamaican maritime space to support safe navigation.
