Registration open for SAJ public speaking workshop

Interested people are being encouraged to register for an in-person Public Speaking and Presentation Skills workshop, hosted by the Shipping Association of Jamaica (SAJ), on Wednesday, July 27.

The course will be led by award-winning journalist and public speaking coach Janella Precius over six hours, beginning at 9 a.m.

Included in its content is the understanding of the fundamentals of public speaking, with emphasis placed on preparation, practice and presentation skills. Participants will also examine the fear associated with public speaking and be taught methods through which speakers can improve delivery, despite their concerns.

The course will explore topics and demonstrations regarding speaking publicly. This will be geared specifically towards bettering their body language, storytelling techniques, preparing for media interviews, and understanding the audience.
