Caribbean Shipping Executives’ Conference returns to Florida from May 1-2

The 21st Caribbean Shipping Executives’ Conference (CSEC) will be staged in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, from May 1 to 2.

The Caribbean Shipping Association (CSA), which organises the conference, said that the venue for the event will be shared shortly.

It’s the second consecutive year that the conference will be held in Florida, following last year’s CSEC in Doral, Miami, which marked the association’s return to in-person events after the pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 event and prompted a virtual staging in 2021. At the time, CSA President Marc Sampson, said, “The CSEC’s longevity and continued relevance are testament to the role that the association has played in advancing the regional shipping industry since its establishment.”

The conference is one of two annual summits held by the CSA which welcome hundreds of leading maritime and logistics professionals from across the globe.

The CSA’s previous conference, its 52nd annual general meeting, conference and exhibition, was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, last November and hosted over 350 delegates over the three-day event. It explored issues related to decarbonisation, maritime law, mentorship, women in maritime, prospects for cruise shipping and port dynamics regionally.

The Caribbean Shipping Association was founded in 1971 to enable the development of the regional maritime industry. Today, it represents over 100 members as it facilitates enterprise growth, professional development and training, and the exchange of specialised information.
