THE 21st staging of the Caribbean Shipping Executives’ Conference took place at The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort from May 1-2.

Nearly 300 delegates were in attendance for the Caribbean Shipping Association’s (CSA) mid-year conference, which focused on topics affecting the shipping and logistics industry, including paperless processes, decarbonisation, payment simplification, the supply chain, and the cruise industry outlook.

The conference was hosted by Port Everglades with the kind sponsorship of Kingston Wharves Limited, Boskalis, TOTE Maritime, SVITZER, Shipco Transport, Tropical Shipping, King Ocean Services, Manzanillo International Terminal, Caribbean Consolidated Express, Tideworks Technology, Luis A Ayala Colon, Seaboard Marine and Maritime and Transport Services Limited.

The CSA is widely regarded as the voice of the Caribbean shipping industry and was established in 1971 to facilitate the development of an efficient, viable Caribbean shipping industry.

The CSA will stage its next meeting in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, from October 23-24, 2023.
