WESTERN BUREAU:

With glitz and fanfare aplenty, Tuesday's official opening of Chukka Good Hope Adventure Park in Falmouth will long be remembered as a most fitting way to close the Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) 2017.

From the president of the all-powerful Florida Caribbean Cruise Shipping Association, Michelle Paige, to Chukka founder Daniel Melville Sr, and chairman of Jamaica's Economic Growth Council, Michael Lee-Chin, some of the biggest names in tourism came out to party at one of the finest attractions in the Caribbean.

"Simply magnificent ... that is what I have been telling everybody," said Paige, adding that she believes this will be a real game-changer in Caribbean attraction. "Very hard to top," she admitted.

Minister without portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation, Dr Horace Chang, was also in awe. "An amazing complement to the tourism product," he declared.

As excited as the bigwigs were about the attraction, both co-chairs, John Byles and Marc Melville, were very pleased watching the unfolding of a beautiful evening accentuated by the musical styling of the energy god himself, Walshy Fire of Major Lazer.

In fact, the invitation declared - "there is no party like a Chukka Party".

Well, there was proof in the pudding. The wow factor that the attractions team has successfully mastered for their guests is very difficult, if not impossible, to duplicate.

"There is something for everyone to gravitate towards. We believe in giving our guests a wide variety of options where they will always remember this experience," was how John Byles described the effect.

Night Three of JAPEX 2017 was the bomb!
