WESTERN BUREAU:

The recently refurbished Sandals Montego, staged a party that tour operators, travel agents, and tourism stakeholders will remember for years to come.
On Monday night, the second day of JAPEX 2017, belonged to the all-inclusive giant — it was a “Nobody leave, nobody go” type of event.

Night two has become a staple on the annual travel and tourism trade show agenda, as everyone knows that Sandals will deliver a stellar party. Again, this year, the event attracted hundreds of persons with one intention in mind -‘dance the night away; eat the most sumptuous and authentic Jamaican food and dance with a top musician Sandals is sure to pull from their hat.

With Joel Ryan, group director of entertainment behind the party’s staging, anything was possible. Ryan pulled for Orville ‘Shaggy’ Burrell to the delight of guests who savoured every minute of his dazzling performance.

Shaggy came, delivered and conquered a crowd that eats, sleeps, and dreams excitement.

At the end of a fairly short set, the incredibly talented disc jockey took charge of the crowd offering far more than anticipated. Between the old bus marked ‘Chukka’ and the ‘Live Funner’ Island Routes mini that became the centre of attraction, guests had the time of their lives.

Here are the highlights of the fabulous event.
