Expo Jamaica to tip the technological scale
The premiere expo of the region - EXPO Jamaica - is back . This year the Jamaica Manufacturer's Association(JMA)/Jamaica Exporters' Association (JEA) have teamed up with telecommunications giant Digicel, for the 46th instalment of an event that showcases a wide range of Jamaican manufacturers across industries.
At the launch, which took place at Digicel Group's headquarters on Ocean Boulevard in downtown Kingston, President of the JMA Metry Seaga was very happy with the partnership.
"The JMA is ecstatic to be partnering with Digicel to bring a new and innovative approach to an already amazing event," he noted. He continued, "This partnership will bring forth a First-World approach to doing business and ensuring profitability. We look forward to partnering with Digicel."
EMBRACING CHANGE
Past President of the JEA Marjorie Kennedy spoke on behalf of President Michelle Chong about the importance of this year's expo, which has more synergy with technology.
"With innovation and technology, the speed to achieve and change has accelerated, and it's all too easy to be left behind. Taking this into consideration, we must remain nimble and on our toes, ready to embrace change in a brand new way!"
This is where the collaboration with Digicel becomes the perfect complementary factor. "Using the power of our network, we will show everyone at Expo 2018 how listening to consumers and business customers is enabling us to come up with the right digital technology that transforms the way they buy and sell Jamaican," said Justin Morin, CEO of Digicel Jamaica.
The event, which is scheduled to be held between April 19 and 22 at the National Arena and National Indoor Sports Centre, has already confirmed 353 booths. With the theme, 'Advancing Breakthrough' guests, at the expo should expect an endless array of innovative options to choose from. You can also capture everything in real time as Digicel will be offering free Wi-Fi to customers.
