Who says politicians don't know how to party? On Tuesday, the team at the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology sought to unwind with an out-of-this-world Wakanda-themed party, at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel.

The poolside was transformed into a futuristic oasis decorated with chrome, white and hues of blue to commemorate the innovative mindset of the ministry itself. The air was charged with excitement as politicians entered the venue after a long day of Parliament and waiters scurried among guests with savoury delights and delicious cocktails.

Dr Andrew Wheatley, entered the soirÈe with an entourage of drummers and dancers bellowing up-tempo afrobeats with rapidly gyrating waistlines. Wheatley showed his appreciation for the turnout by personally greeting guests in attendance with firm handshakes, hugs and a megawatt smile.

Fun activities included posing with Wakandan superheroes, which the minister and Member of Parliament Juliet Holness eagerly did, delighting the crowd with their 'superhuman' action moves.

Exciting Performances

Performances ranged from oldies but goodies, with the legendary Josey Wales, to popular dancehall mixes by Ding Dong and Busy Signal. Needless to say, the excitement on stage had Government officials and guests alike showing off their best dance moves.

The night, which commenced with the cutting of the cake and succinct speeches made by the minister and other members of parliament. After carrying out their duties on behalf of the country, the members of the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology, certainly came out to party in Wakanda.
