The nine-hour festival of Reggae and Rhythm and Blues, Groovin' in the Park 2018, dubbed the largest North American annual concert celebrating the genres, attracted 20,000 music lovers to the Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York last Sunday. It was all about musical catalogues of reggae artistes, Caribbean food and fashion, with women of reggae, Marcia Aitken, JC Lodge and Pam Hall, pulling the audience close to the stages while 11-time Grammy winner, Kenny 'Babyface' Edmonds, captured the eyes and ears of the female audience and fire blazers Capleton and Jr Gong opening the minds. Here are some of the social scenes that spanned the entire weekend of related activities.
