On Thursday, September 13, author and sexologist Shelly-Ann Weeks launched her latest book, It's My Body. Period.

The launch took place at The Jamaica Pegasus' Talk of the Town Suite.

It's My Body. Period. is a about a Jamaican girl and her experiences, as she embarks on one of life's important rites of passage, her period.

As an introduction to menstruation, the book also has the relevant information that can act as a guide for any girl.

Curves, a sanitary-napkin line known for its Girl Talk educational series on feminine hygiene and puberty, came on board as the title sponsor for the event in support of the book and its bold author.
