Tuesday Talk

1) The story of how a daughter drained her parents’ savings is likely to have a very dramatic ending. The retired couple who worked in law enforcement, are now reduced to mendicants with their nest egg destroyed and pittance pension unable to do much. We understand that benefactors are helping out.

2) The practice of retailing items has caught on big time with some of our pharmacies. For example, they will buy items in bulk and then retail them at a really phenomenal cost, in some cases, the mark-up is 700% - capitalism at work they say.

3) Social media is apparently being used by spurned lovers to expose their former partners. People have to be careful not to be used unwittingly as pawns in these dangerous games.
