1. A policeman driving a police vehicle with his cellphone stuck to his ear. Something is wrong with that picture at a time when motorists are being warned of hefty fines for what amounts to an offence in the road traffic law.

2. The plastic ban will not work if supermarkets and other outlets continue to facilitate shoppers with these bags. Those who make the effort and take their own bags could return to their old ways since the bags are still available.

3. Travelers are saying how much easier it is to enter Jamaica via Montego Bay where welcoming officials barely take a look at the stufff people are importing in their luggage. Scanners are excellent instruments and if they are there use them. Jamaica’s crime situation is so dire we cannot risk our port of entry being used by criminal elements.
