1 The experience of Port Royal should never be forgotten. Investors were interested in creating a Disney in the Caribbean, and what happened? People who have no resources or vision to conceive and execute projects are the first ones to scream about giving away Jamaica.

2 Takes us to a point about Chinese investors. Note that they are not forcing any ideology down the throats of Jamaicans, nor are they threatening sanctions and withdrawing visa privileges like some donors we are familiar with. Seems they are doing a pretty good job delivering on their projects and working in the trenches with the locals.

3 Who could have predicted that throwing parties could make people very rich? It seems there are folks who hop all over these Caribbean islands throwing parties. The masses see this enjoyment as an investment, so they borrow money, outfit themselves, and go partying; and the investor cleans up and heads to the bank.
