Chinese Ambassador to Jamaica Tian Qi hosted diplomats, government, civic and business leaders at an elegant reception at New Kingston’s Jamaica Pegasus hotel on Monday evening, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Loud cheers interrupted the chatter among festive guests as the ambassador recited Jamaican Creole in greeting the large audience, embracing the motto, ‘Out of Many, One People’.
