For the good doc, this was a no- brainer. “Blood is always in short supply and it has got worse since the pandemic. The blood bank was almost at zero,” he shared.

If there was anything good that came out of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is the showcase of service and social responsibility. Persons have been reaching out in their own way to help those in need. In the spirit of giving, Dr Phillip Coombs, also known as Doc Ravers, put on a blood drive that has seen 120 persons donating blood so far. Coombs said that this is very necessary because “Jamaica needs it”. Here are the highlights.
