Corporate companies have been stepping up in a big way to assist persons who have been impacted by COVID-19. J. Wray & Nephew Limited on Monday launched an initiative valued at $35 million to distribute 48,000 bottles of its drink products free of cost to assist 2,000 bar owners across Jamaica to restock and reopen their businesses.

As part of a global partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Nestlé Jamaica Limited announced that they will donate more than $10,000,000 to the Jamaica Red Cross Society to support the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to the monetary donation, Nestlé Jamaica Limited will also provide in kind donations of products to the Jamaica Red Cross Society to the tune of $2,800,000, making a total donation of $12.8 million.
