Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett, last Tuesday, toured the newly constructed and reopened Adam & Eve Day Spa in Kingston. The new 10,000sq-ft facility located at 56 Old Hope Road is the brainchild of Garth and Kimisha Walker. The facility, which features private suites, couples’ rooms, and full-service spa and beauty amenities, hosted the tourism minister on Tuesday. Minister Bartlett said he looked at all the modern equipment, “and it provides for the ultimate in relaxation, but more so, it is the statement of how wellness is going to be an asset in Jamaica”. As a full-service day spa, the facility offers hair and nail services, waxing, massage therapy, and skincare procedures. Health and wellness tourism represents a third of global travellers annually, with the US operating a $3.4-trillion wellness economy.
