Barbican and Dunbeholden will face off in an early top-of-the-table clash in the Magnum/Charley's JB/Jamaica Football Federation Premier League promotion series at Barbican Complex, today, starting at 4 p.m.

In another game, Mount Pleasant FA host Wadadah at Drax Hall in St Ann, also at 4 p.m.

Barbican are coming off a big 3-0 away win against Wadadah, while Dunbeholden also won 2-1 against Mount Pleasant in the opening round last Sunday.

In today's second round, it will be a crucial game for both teams in order to gain sole leadership.

Dunbeholden's coach, Michael Cohen, says his team is not about any individual player, so they will continue to play each game as a unit.

"It will be a very challenging game because Barbican ares an experienced team. They have a lot of quality players who have been to the premier league before. And, this is our first time in the play-off," Cohen told The Gleaner yesterday.

Manager of Barbican, Chris James, says they have a lot of respect for Dunbeholden.

"Dunbeholden are playing well as a unit but as I have said before, when I look at this Barbican team it is a very experienced one and I think this is the strongest team that has ever represented the club," James said.

At the completion of the promotion series, the top two teams will qualify for the 2018-19 Red Stripe Premier League.
