Edwin off to flyer at Penn Relays with Graham win

ISSA/GraceKennedy Girl's 400m hurdles champion Lashanna Graham gave Edwin Allen a perfect start this morning at the 125th staging of the Penn Relays after winning the Championships of America 400m hurdles for High School Girls in 58.02 seconds.
Carifta Games Under 20 champion Shaquena Foote, of Petersfield High, won her heat in 59.09 seconds and finished sixth overall.
The Michael Dyke coached Edwin Allen sparked controversy earlier this month with its decision to leave stars Kevona Davis and twin sisters Tia and Tina Clayton, among other starts out of the trials for the Carifta Games, opting instead to focus on the Penn Relays.
The event will run from today until Saturday at the Franklin Field, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
